Why A Yearly Fee for Rescues?
This was an issue we went back and forth on for several months, and after polling several rescue groups, it was decided that a yearly fee of $30 would be reasonable and affordable enough not to prevent smaller rescues from using the services.
$30 a year breaks down to a little over two dollars a month, less than a vente cup of coffee at your favorite coffee franchise - and what you get in return is a database of transporters all over the country. You will be able to enter a start point and an end point and get a list of "baton holders" who can be utilized in a transfer, and plan the entire route online, including maps and directions, saving immeasurable time and resources.
The yearly fee goes right back into the site, allowing us to continue to develop tools to assist you in your rescue efforts.
As you may know, Pet-Abuse.Com provides many tools for animal advocates and rescues, all available for free, inlcuding a searchable database of criminal animal cruelty and an abuser name search that can be used in your adoption screening process.
Pet-Abuse.Com is run entirely by volunteers - no one gets paid for any of the work we do or the services we provide, so you can be assured that your yearly fees will be used to help animals and the people who rescue them.
Transporters will always be able to use the site for free.
